Taipei City. The second day of the II 12U Baseball World Cup saw Brazil erasing a deficit against Mexico, handing one of the favorites a surprise loss. In the other five games on Friday the usual suspects picked up the wins. Japan, USA, Korea, Venezuela and Chinese Taipei all improved to 2-0 in the tournament.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Chinese Taipei concluded the second day at the II 12U Baseball World Cup with a 16-0 shutout over reigning European Champion Czech Republic in the evening game at Tien-Mou Stadium on Friday. For CT it has been the second win in the tournament, while the Czech squad dropped to 0-2.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Korea won a tight ball game against Panama on Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0 at Tien-Mou Stadium. The Asian squad improves to 2-0 with the victory, while Panama drops to 0-2. Runs in the second and third were enough for Korea to prevail.

Shing-Sheng/Taipei City. Japan welcomed the Philippines with a 15-0 shutout in the II 12U Baseball World Cup. The duel between the two Asian squads was decided early, as Team Nippon put ten runs on the board at Shing-Sheng Stadium in the first two frames on Friday morning. The Philippines were off on the first day of the competition.

Youth Park/Taipei City. Team USA got its second win at the II 12U Baseball World Cup, defeating Pakistan 20-0 on Friday morning at Youth Park. 15 runs in the first and five in the second lifted the team of head coach Dave Webb to the win.

Youth Park/Taipei City. Venezuela scored nine runs in the second and ten in the fourth to down Hong Kong 24-0 in the afternoon game at Youth Park to open the II 12U Baseball World Cup. The South Americans used 19 hits on offense and were nearly perfect on defense in the shutout.

Shing-Sheng/Taipei City. Korea opened the II 12U Baseball World Cup at Shing-Shen Stadium on Thursday morning with a statement. The seventh-ranked team from 2011 crushed Pakistan 23-0, scoring all 23 runs in the first inning.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Chinese Taipei defeated Brazil 10-0 in the evening game on Thursday at Tien-Mou Stadium. The defending champion took an early lead and sent the fans home early with a five-run fifth to close it out with the ten-run mercy rule.

Tien-Mou/Taipei City. Japan had a good start into the II 12U Baseball World Cup, defeating the Czech Republic 15-0 in four innings in the afternoon game at Tien-Mou Stadium in Taipei City. The reigning European 12U Champion kept things close in the beginning, but fell apart in the third and the fourth.

Taipei City. The second edition of the 12U Baseball World Cup in Taipei City commenced play with six games on Thursday. It saw 12 of the 14 teams in action and the official opening ceremony at Tien-Mou Stadium. The Philippines and Russia will enter the competition on Friday.
