Superstar Aaron Judge gifted the delegation a signed jersey and signed baseballs before the game against the Cleveland Guardians. The Triple-A affiliates Hudson Valley Renegades offered the Asian delegation a clinic and wore Bhutan-themed jerseys. The Bhutan Baseball & Softball Federation won the World Baseball Softball Day equipment grant prize in May for their promotion of baseball and softball.

WBSC U-18 Women's Softball World Cup: Japan, China and Puerto Rico join Chinese Taipei and Czechia in Finals 2025

Japan went undefeated, outscoring their opponents 49-3. China relied on solid pitching to overcome the Netherlands, Puerto Rico and Italy. Puerto Rico finished third and earned the first of two Wild Cards to the Finals 2025. Dallas, USA, will host Group C from August 29 to September 2 and the Finals 2025.

WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup star Doyeong Kim becomes youngest KBO player to enjoy 30-30 season

Kim hit his 30th home run on August 15, at 20 years, 10 months and 13 days. Former record holder Jaehong Park was 22 years, 11 months, and 27 days old when he recorded the 30-30 milestone in 1996.

USA, Panama, Puerto Rico and Cuba qualify for WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup 2025

They finished in the top four positions at the WBSC Americas Qualifying Tournament, played in Panama from August 2 to 11. They join Italy and Germany in the list of qualified National Teams. The eight-team WBSC Asia Qualifier, scheduled from September 2 to 8, will qualify three. One team from Africa, one from Oceania and a Wild Card will complete the participants.

WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group B: Celebrating the ninth anniversary of Pingtan Softball Stadium

Pingtan Softball Stadium opened in 2015 in time for the inaugural Youth Games of the People’s Republic of China. Close to one hundred games have been staged since with tens of thousands of fans in attendance. Pingtan’s next goal is to make itself a centre of international baseball and softball.
