The Chinese Taipei slugger, the first Major League Baseball player from Taiwan, was inducted into Taiwan's Baseball Hall of Fame, becoming the first former Major Leaguer inductee. Late Commissioner Harvey Tung was also elected under the category of Special Contribution.

After receiving the IOC Women and Sports World Trophy in 2019, Po-Chun Liu, the first female World Cup Baseball umpire from Taiwan, received another recognition at the 26th Sports Elite Awards.

The softball helmets were handed over before the game of India and the Czech Republic at the II WBSC U-12 Softball World Cup in Jin-Long Stadium in Taichung City, Taiwan.

Nine teams participated in the newly created competition, playing 32 regular-season games each in two stages. The first stage was held in July, with the second played in November, both at the Shaoxing Baseball (Softball) Sports Culture Center.

There are now 11 fields and a population of 10,000 baseball players in the Zhejiang province, China. The Shaoxing Baseball/Softball Sports and Culture Center will host the Asian Games in 2023.

Two conferences on the history and the game's future in Japan are scheduled for 11 and 21 December. The third event is a round table. WBSC Women's Baseball Commission chair Hiroko Yamada is among the speakers.

Four teams participated in the event in Guali, Hangzhou province. The China Baseball Association used the event as a tryout for the Women's Baseball National Team.
